The Peloton Bike Plus is the latest and greatest indoor cycle from the popular brand. Priced at $2500, it offers more features compared to its predecessor.
One of the standout features is the rotating touchscreen, which allows users to participate in off-bike classes like weight training, yoga, and meditation more easily.
Another welcome addition is the auto follow feature, where the class instructor controls the bike's resistance levels, eliminating the need for constant adjustments.
The support for Apple GymKit is also a great addition, as it allows users to pair their Apple Watch and get real-time heart rate readings during classes.
During our month-long testing, both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the wide variety of class types and instructors available. The ability to customize classes based on length, skill level, and music style was a major plus.
The trainers bring a lot of fun and energy to the experience, and the real-time leaderboards add an extra level of excitement.
However, we did face some challenges with the clip-in pedals. Not only are the special shoes required quite expensive at $125 per pair, but getting our feet unclipped from the pedals was also a struggle. It took some practice to master the process, and we often needed assistance in the beginning.
Once we got used to the clipping in and out, the overall experience of using the Peloton Bike Plus was excellent. If money is not an issue, owning this indoor cycle will be a highly enjoyable experience.
However, if the price is a concern, there are several alternatives available that offer similar features at a lower cost. We have provided links to some of these alternatives below. Additionally, for those on a tight budget, there are even DIY options worth exploring.
